General Subjects
As part of our broader curriculum, learners look at a wide variety of topics.
With guidance from tutors, they conduct their own research into issues of current or personal interest, gaining credits for each group of challenges completed. These lead to the award of ASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network) Short Course Certificates.

They are widely recognised by educators as empowering students through personalised learning and choices. The courses aim to motivate and enhance learners’ confidence, self esteem and resilience. In addition, learners have been found to develop core skills in teamwork, communication, problem solving, research and self management.
